Fitted a new (genuine) exhaust back box a couple of weeks ago, then fitted a new exhaust manifold gasket (drivers side), and blow me down if I haven't still got an exhaust leak.

Just been under the car with the other half holding their hand over the end of the exhaust pipe and found the problem - a hole in the weld on the new back box - b*gger.

The challenge is how to exchange it..... take the old part off and drive to Vx??

Next time I shall be inspecting the new part a little more closely.

Mate of mine had the same problem with his ford. I had to taxi him back and forth so you'll have to creep to a mate who doesn't mind a dirty old backbox in his car
