Cruise Control Retrofit
« on: 17 January 2011, 20:51:11 »

I can swear I saw some guides or at least some pointers on how to do it on the forums but apparently I cant find it anymore.
I would kindly ask if anyone knows to point me/give link to "How To" for retrofiting CC on Omega B '97.

Thank you!

Yes, those! Thanks guys for help.

Now after running through them I got dissapointed a bit. A lot more work than I imagined in the first place (or at least as I remember it when I first read it)

Anyhow, will give it a thought. Thanks again.

Main problem with 2.0 & Cruise Control, is finding the cruise cable bracket for the cam cover. Only 2.0 CDX had them, which here in the UK were not that common.

Is it possible to Frankenstein-ize something from v6 model?

edit: Or frankie something of a facelift 2.2 model? TBH I don't get all the pieces how CC's supposed to work on my model.

iirc, the 2.0 had a longer cable than any other.

Hard to find.

iirc vectra ones are compatable should you find one.

V6, nope totally different plenum mount, 2.2 has an electronic throttle body so no cables, its going to be tough to find, check eBay for ones being broken  :y

If anyone has some more ideas don't restrain yourself :P

Anyhow, thanks for help guys!
