I think Labour will soon realise that voters in their heartlands in the north are doing the unthinkable and changing to the Tories instead of the Brexit party. Expect to see them trying to con people again that they will somehow respect the referendum result for the next couple of weeks.

Possibly layers of foam carpet underlay ? Best option if possible would be to source some from a local scrapyard.

Tactically speaking, I don't blame him. He is ahead in the polls, and the flack from not having the balls to face Andrew Neil is likely to be less than the flack he would get after being torn to pieces by him.
The Tories probably reason that the more Corbyn is in front of the cameras, and the less Boris is in front of them, the better their results are likely to be.

Maybe Omegod should knock on the door with a couple of twenty pound notes in his hand ? At least it would be of some further use.

Omega General Help / Re: Auxillary belt tensioner pulley V6
« on: 27 November 2019, 22:03:19 »
Had the same thing on my previous Omega several years ago. First time I ever used breakdown recovery to get home. Luckily no damage done apart from pulley breaking up and shredding the belt.
Reading this thread has made me decide to replace the pulley and belt on my current car at the next service, which is due in the next couple of months.

The document he was waving around is from the Theresa May era. Nothing particularly controversial in it. He was lying through his desperate teeth trying to scare everyone into voting for him. Its the only tactic he has left I think.
Details of the documents are on Guido Fawkes.

General Discussion Area / Re: My conspiracy theory
« on: 27 November 2019, 17:44:15 »
Except for the days of New Labour, many Labourites have dreamed of a British State without Capitalism and rid of the monarchy. “Keep the red flag flying here” rather gives the gave away; they are communists to their core, as my dear late father was believing what he did, and want nothing more, nothing less, than a communist state.

Corbin and co are very much of this mould, which needs no disguising under the “conspiracy” banner and therefore must never be trusted. >:(

So I may not be the only one with such thoughts then?

No, you are of the many,..  not the Jew ;D :y

Fixed.

Ian Sutherland, from Sutherland Brothers and Quiver. Group was best known for Lying in the arms of Mary, but Rod Stewart had a hit with one of his songs - Sailing.

Dunno, impossible to tell tbh. I do think longevity for its own sake is over rated though. The first 60 years have been mostly mediocre at best, so why should whatevers left be much better ?

He is in a league of his own among political interviewers. The rest are pygmies in comparison. Havent seen his interview with wee krankie, but read about it today. He pointed out that NHS Scotland is failing so badly to meet legal targets on patient care, that it might need protecting from her, rather than her mantra of it needing protecting from Trump.
Apparently she got a wee bit flustered at that point.

I broadly concur. :)

He is objective, unbiased, knows their brief better than they do, and knows he is almost certainly speaking to a dishonest moron, whichever party they belong to. Just what a political interrogator should be.
