Being poor I wash my own cars. :y

You pay the 'illegals' £4 a pop to clean the Astra. :)

Being sensible I also wash my own car, who knows what shit they use to get the dirt off, at least I know it's getting done right when I do it.

Yet still only two thirds the Nimitz class!

Been lucky enough to see these “in the metal” twice; once in Hong Kong and once in San Diego. Awe-inspiring both times! :y

I went round the USS Nimitz in a boat when it was anchored off Portsmouth when I was a kid with my dad, it was frickin huge  :o

Watched it up to EP 3 then gave up, got bored with it.  ::)

......and since when has  Dr. Zachary Smith been a Women, and that Robot, doesn't wave His arms around when shouting 'Danger Will Robinson', he just gives a blank evil stare.

It happens in tv remakes, in the tv series of Battlestar Galactica Starbuck was a woman and the same in 12 Monkeys, Jeffrey Goines became Jennifer Goines

Pretty certain they close at 6pm, so 53 mins....   ::)
Well, that surprised me, they called me back, and promise the missing spring will be with me by the end of the week.

God knows how much time I've wasted chasing this (work will pick up the phone bill ::)), but at least it looks like its resolved :)

I hope they don`t mind picking up the man hours either  ;D

Fingers crossed the spring turns up or you`ll be wasting more of works time and resources next week  ;D

Log on and off their "live chat" 10 times. Don't waste any length of time waiting to get to the front of the queue. You wont get there. No-one ever does.
They will then send you 10 emails inviting you to post a review of their service on their website, and you can have some fun.
I found it strangely cathartic.  ;D
It only took 2 attempts to get to the front of the queue today.  I started around 11:15, and was talking to a "human" by 15:50.

They couldn't help, though, and promise to get back to me by email hopefully today or definitely by Monday.

I won't hold my breath. Especially as I'm still waiting for the call they promised my last Monday.

oppswits.

You have a lot more patience than I do

Same here. Had excellent service from Tayna.  :y

The service from Tayna was fine up until the rep suggested I mop up the battery acid with a tissue, dispose of it, repackage it and send it back  :o I`m not dicking about cleaning battery acid up.

The issue was with the oppswits at Yodel not keeping it the right way up (clearly marked all around the parcel)

They are still a lot cheaper than ECP though and I've never had any trouble from them especially via their ebay shop.  :y

I've just priced up a set of discs and pads for my Mundano.

Local Factor - £168.50
ECP - £163.76
CP4L - £146.70
ATP - £109.99
Ebay - £99.49

With ECP it's always worth waiting for one of their sale codes, which happen basically every day/week. I ordered set of Discs and Pads for the 3.2 for £49 delivered. (Eicher)

Used 50% code off.  :y

I`ve never used CP4less but I`ve learnt my lesson this week getting a battery from Tayna, the mongrels at Yodel delivered it two days late and it must have spent a large part of the journey upsidedown as the polythene bag it was sealed in was full of battery acid.
I looked up batteries on ECP and applied one of their codes for 33% off and got a Bosch battery for £10 more but at least picking it up I know how it has been transported.
I`ll never get another battery online that` for sure.

General Discussion Area / Re: Parking on Pavements
« on: 12 April 2018, 13:18:31 »
It`s the same where I live, the streets are too narrow for bin wagons and emergency vehicles if we don`t half park on the pavement, it`s been like that since I moved here in 1999.

The Zed lives on the drive but only a few houses have drives and most houses have at least one car if not two, it would be a right bun fight should it become illegal overnight with 50% of the residents then having to park in neighbouring streets which would piss off those residents no end.

In fact thinking about it, it would cause a massive problem as out of five of the nearest streets only one can accommodate parking on both sides of the road and that is already heavily parked on.

I had an older version of THIS in my Omega

As for the reversing camera, the one one my 370z is fixed under the tailgate grab handle above the number plate.

For me they are a must, the quality of light is far better than halogen, the Omegas HID`s were a revelation after years of halogen lights and the Zeds are better still, plus they`re bi-xenon so full beam is excellent too.

I`ve had just one,a MV6 saloon, which I had for four years before the tin worm got the offside front chassis leg and the ABS ECU failure saw it off to the scrappers.
