Remove steering wheel and you`ll see the "squib"

How does the airbag ECU know its the squib? It would just report as drivers airbag high/low resistance, surely?

What was the code?

Steering wheel not being straight doesn't automatically mean that the wheel has been off... could also be a sign that the geometry has been set by a munky ::)

If you are going to muck about with the SRS system then disconnect the battery and leave it 5mins to discharge. Some are fine at 30 seconds, some take 3 mins (according to the manufacturers), not sure what Omegas are so to be safe 5mins should cover it.
