Title: Oldest known and launch cars/years

Hi guys. I’m interested to know and I’m sure it’s been asked before but what are the launch years for the omega? Is it 1994 on a M? Or 1993 on an L? Always loved omega and on the lookout for another.

As far as I know the Omega B was launched in late '94 I know my first Omega was a '95 on an M.But don't recall seeing any Omegas on an L.

Hi mate  :) thanks for the reply! Next question. Where the bose audio system standard on elite from launch? Just so I can start looking for a early pre facelift elite. Probably going to be a hard task lol! Any pictures of yours?

I don't have any pictures of my '95 one[which I sold in 2009] but that was an Elite and did have Bose I believe[could be a faulty memory though]with a multi changer in the boot behind the trim on O/S rear.My present Elite certainly has Bose but that's a year 2000 F/L car and there are some pictures[not very good ones]of that in the Gallery section on here.

My first Omega was on an L but I thought it was a 1994 car.

I don't have it more.......

With the once yearly registration changes they had back then it probably was a '94 car.Trying[and failing]to think back but would L reg be August '93 to August '94 then M reg Aug '94 to Aug '95? or am I out in my reckoning?Still fairly sure Omega B was launched '94.

Launched in '94 L reg, bose wasn't fitted until '98 mini - facelift.

Yep, L was August 93 to August 94. I have seen one or two Omegas with an L reg. plate, so would imagine it was launched to the public in the first half of 94.

Earlier Elites and some CDX's had a Phillips Set Up with sererate Amps etc, dont think it was standard though, poss a Option.

Any MF and FL Bose can be retrofitted, (Saloons and Estates differ) Amps, Loom, Speakers and Subs etc, just need to make sure the HU to fit in the Dash Hole is a Bose Version.
