td trays
« on: 16 June 2009, 08:37:54 »

recentley taken off the trays underneath the car, as they were hanging low. the screw searchers were shot. tried to get some more locally from vx but was told although there ,s a part No the screw searchers are no longer available. i personally think the guy at vx is just an awkward sod , reason being if a car is ten years old or more he points the fact out to me. also i helped a mate change a engine in a zafira and those poxy little 8mm self tapping screws were the same setup. sorry this thread is so long winded over such a little issue but i,d prefer the tray back in situ to protect the a/c plumbing.

If you want a helpful Vx employee then I would recommend calling Andy @ Drive, Bury St.Edmunds - he is used to dealing with these so I'm sure he would be able to give you a definitive answer as to whether they are available or not  :y

His number is 01284 777254

Glad you've vented some steam!

Perhaps swe should get some kind of virtual leather couch on this forum, so we can each take turns!

Hmmm, we could make it out of a rear seat...now I'm thinking!

Oh, PS, I'll keep my eye out at the local scrappy for them screws, by the way

the actual screw is no problem to obtain . it,s those rectangular bits that the screws - screw into. personally i still think the vx chappie didn,t want to leave is chair to look in the general stock as i think all vx trays maybe held in situ using 8mm screws & these rectangular s/searchers. :-/
