I applied for a job in an ice cream parlour.. They turned me down when I said I can’t do Sundays

My doctor told me that I’m suffering from paranoia. Well, he didn’t actually say that, but I could tell that’s what he was thinking.

I had a pelican curry for lunch, it tasted nice, but the bill was enormous.

There was a woman selling batteries down the park. She sells C cells by the seesaw...

So I've had the Insignia a week,  let's begin.
Mirrors are Shite,  It's comfortable, climate system isn't as efficient as the Omega or the Saab,, and the Infotainment system is frigging not simples, the stupid rain sensing wipers I don't like,, The auto opening boot is nice,,, and I think new tyres will be required as it's got a right old mix on, being on 245/45/18 XL it might not be happening yet.
Changing the oil+filter is interesting,  if car isn't high enough you can't drop undertray flap down enough, and it's easier to remove front wheel to remove oil filter.

Despite having an arse like a big black mama the Insignia is not a bad looking car.

You seem pleased with it overall. :y

You don't need to be very right wing to be considered a right wing Nazi in 2024. :-\
I'm sure our very own Lizzie Zoom called me a Nazi not that long ago ;D
Talking of which, Outraged from Ashford has been very quiet of late :-\

I was just curious really, if mine turns out to have GM ones on it currently I'll save them and refurb for next time.  If not, they can indeed go in the bin.
I think this is the best solution :y

Hence I always suggest people with GM ones refurb them, rather than replace with crap.  Its a bit extra work, but cheaper and will last longer.

Is there any easy to spot tell tale that they are original GM? GM logo somewhere?

They'll look like they were rescued from the Titanic; rusty and covered in crap off the road. You're getting bogged down in details that are unimportant.

You've got new wishbones, so fit the front poly bushes and get them on the car. They'll be an improvement. If the removed ones look vaguely saveable, keep them. If they don't, bin them. To me, the only thing the originals do better than refurbished ones is that the ball joints are rivetted on, not bolted.
