Picked up the Battlebus and drove it home. Managed no sleep on plane, but determined to stay awake in order to reduce jet lag
It never worked for me in over 30 years of professional flying, I and most of my colleagues, found that going to sleep when ready worked best, even if only for a couple of hours. We still do that, particularly flying Eastbound, and find it allows us to get back on UK time quicker.
I believe correct use of melatonin helps considerably, although I have never tried it.
