Does Mrs STMO have any plans for trading in her Astra for something different yet? :)
Yes.

The delightful and much admired Vauxhall Signum? :)
Don't know, it'll be about 5 minutes from now . I'll let you know.

Okay. :)
Give us a chance to pick it up first.

Judging by how long she keeps hers cars Mrs STMO should be bored shitless with it by April. It's lucky you have almost unlimited wealth. :)

It is properly quick but you soon get used to it and want more power and torque.

That is completely different. More of a therapeutic aid than a form of transport. ;) ::)

I remember when I first got a bigger bike than the previous one, treating it with respect.  But it doesn't take long before the throttle is always on the endstop ;D

While I commend[and can understand]Mrs.Stemos dedication to work she does- as I'm sure you'd agree- take care of her own welfare first. After all what good would she be to the school laid up recovering for weeks/months instead of days?Anyway I wish her well and hope she enjoys her new car :y

Picked it up earlier....and I caught her out ;D She followed me from north Leeds through the city and on to the M621, then down the M1 until we turned off. I snuck into a dark bit by the side of the road and waited till she passed me, then pulled out a couple of cars behind. She, of course thought I'd gone on ahead. Well......she certainly gave it the beans. Even though hers is a 1.6 diesel and mine is 2.0, I had to floor it to keep up with her on a dual carriageway.
Should have seen her face when I pulled up behind her at home.

She likes it.

Just out of interest. Why an Astra as opposed to another Renault or a Focus say?  :-\
