Vauxhall Victor! :y

If time and money were no object I wonder if a 2.5-3.2 V6 would fit in there somehow?  :-\   :)

If you could find something that's not rotten to bolt the engine mounts to... ;)

I doubt there'd be anything fun about that.

the chop means it needs an IVA test to be legal. While that shouldn't be too hard to do it's costly and would also stop it being tax and MOT exempt.

It seems a little expensive, although I'm a bit out of touch. Looks good though.

Don't see why a 2.5-3.2V6[if they're the best engines you can find]couldn't be made to fit in a Victor. The world speed record for a street legal car[standing quarter mile]is held by Red Victor 3 a heavily modified 1972 Victor with  a 8.8L twin turbo engine. 5.59 seconds and a top speed of 260.54mph over the quarter :y

There's a BRG Rover 8 series (827 maybe?) the same age that works where my OH does .. I am always amazed every time I see it.

it's a purpose built pro-mod chassis and scratchbuilt fibreglass body that only sort of looks like a two-door Victor. Which were never made. Lights are probably the only Victor parts on the whole car. It no longer uses an original registration, as that was revoked when somebody complained and the car was required to take an IVA test. Which somehow Andy Frost got it to pass with minimal changes.

But that at all makes its performance even more impressive as it's now genuinely street legal

Can't believe someone expects actual money for that. ;D

Still, the O series engine reminds me of my Ital days. :D

There are a few other finds in his barn that I'd be more interested in, mind.
