Omega General Help / fuel pump issue, help please.

Hi folks, im having a bit of an issue with my MV6, X30XE. Its not pumping fuel when you turn on the ignition and still wont pump when I roll the engine. am I rightin saying that the fuel pump plug should two lives when ign is on or does it only have on until it rolls over to fire as mine has one live when the ign is swithed on( the fuel guage sensor) and the other three have nothing until its rolling over then the brown heavier brown wire becomes live. Is that wire supposed to be ign live or start live.

Just trying to work out if the fuel pump is knackered or I have awiring issue. ( I have replaced both the fuel pump releys)

As Im more machanically oriantated, I know nothing about paint and bodywork. So how would i go about removing the badges on my MV without leaving it in a mess and damaging the boot lid??? [smiley=undecided.gif]

Have just repaired a broken wire on my horn, only to find oil dripping down via the anti-roll bar and intake pipework assey. I traced the problem to the throttle body and breather pipes, I took everything off and checked through making sure the plastic bits are all breathing properly, then tried blowing down the rubber pipes little pipe seem to breath ok, but with one finger over one of the larger pipes, blowing seemed to be a lot harder could it be possibly blocked or is it surposed to have a resistance.... Please help, rather  not kill the oil cooler with too much preasure.

Does anyone know if the fan motor's fitted to all models (regardless of engine size)  that use electronic climate control are the same as i need a replacement and found a scrap 2.5 and I own a 3.0.

Omega General Help / Along the right track

I have a very wierd problem, and was wondering what everyone has to say.

Basically I took my MV to my local VX dealer who I have entrusted for years to have a four wheel alignment as it seems latley that the old girl is getting a bit soggy. They carried out the alignment on three of the four wheels, (castor, camber and track) but when it came to the O/S/F wheel they could not pull up the camber, so the wheel is constantly pulling in at the top. hence why the last set of tyres where worn on the inside edge. The car sits lower than normal by 30mm, and so I was wondering if anyone else has come across the same problem. :-/.....  ie run out of ajustment or maybe something else

My dealer said that it could possibly be the front suspension giving up or bent, or the car has a history which i don't know about.

Needless to say the they said they could'nt charge me for the work done because the work was incomplete

Omega General Help / Wheely....What colour are they???

Does anyone know the true colour of the soft star 17's fitted to the MV6 (sorry, irmscher opt extra wheels). I have a set of those wheels in question and for the sake of apperances (sp) i have had them re-furb'd. Now some of the colours i have see in the past have been silver and some have been grey, maybe just the light or contrast on a picture. So my wheels are now presented in graphite grey wrapped in mich pilot prem hp's and i think they look pretty darn good, piccy's to come
