Omega General Help / Re: door mirrors
« on: 01 February 2016, 10:58:25 »
If it's just the glass that's cracked, then try...... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Right-Driver-Wide-Angle-Wing-mirror-glass-Vauxhall-Omega-00-03-heat-/290944465788?hash=item43bda43b7c. The nearside one is also listed from the same seller. £13 delivered. 5 mins to fit.

I replaced mine with one from this seller. Simply a case of gently unclipping the damaged one, unclipping the spade connector, refitting the spade connector to the new part and then gently clicking it into place.

Mine was a very good replacement. It fitted well, and adjusts & heats just like the original.  :y

Omega General Help / Re: False low screen wash level message
« on: 31 January 2016, 17:33:45 »
I believe the wee grommet is the filter. The bottom and sides of the grommet should have tiny holes. Any debris, sludge can be washed off and then pop it back in the washer bottle, making sure it's back in snug to avoid leaks and then push the pump back in. Fill with your chosen screen wash and water mix and give the screen a skoosh ! :y

Omega General Help / Re: Marks on windscreen

Once a year, I clean the screen with Bar Keepers Friend. It's an abrasive powder that doesn't scratch. Always had excellent results and it's useful for all kinds of household stubborn cleaning jobs.

Not trying to teach you how to suck eggs and all that but are all your boot cubby holes and spare wheel well free of anything that may be causing the rattle ?

Speaking to him last week, he doesn't get on here much. You'd be quicker giving him a ring.  :y

General Discussion Area / Thank you again Serek
« on: 27 November 2015, 22:34:17 »
My car developed a nasty lower end mechanical noise last weekend making it sound as if a wee diesel engine had sneaked into the engine bay. I dropped a bottle of Wynn's Lifter Treatment in but no change.

I got in touch with Serek and he asked me to bring it up to him. He immediately diagnosed a kaput water pump and I left the car with him, having agreed what work was to be done. I picked it up today and Serek explained that he'd replaced the pump, the auxiliary belt, changed the coolant, cleaned the breathers and silenced my creaking driver's door.

A top job by a true Omega expert at a very reasonable price. Serek, a public thank you to you !  :y

A wee blood test will confirm gout or not. If it is, I swear by Naproxen. Turns my big toe from feeling like it's broken to pain free in the space of 20 mins. Poor old boy, he shouldn't be suffering and losing sleep.

Hope all gets sorted soon.  :y

Anyone had their Omega professionally detailed ?

I intend keeping mine as I've had it from 10 months old and I was considering treating it.

Thanks !

Yep, that's the link. I'm on an iPad and the normal PC tabs at the top don't appear.

Is it just the glass and clip on part you need ?

If so, try Amazon. I don't know how to post the link but this is what I ordered.

The one review is from me.  :y

Very, very easy fit and it moves and heats perfectly.
