I rekon the bit of hesitation is an air leak somewhere..

Could be that the fuelling is not 100% yet. Our quick tweak got it pretty good, but I reckon another tweak now it's bedded in (probably best once the misfire is cured) would be worthwhile.

Under what conditions does it hesitate? On gas / petrol / both? Cold / Hot / both? blipping from idle? Putting your foot down whilst underway? Under constant cruising?

It could simply be that the acceleration enrichment is set up for petrol, and of course the same enrichment is applied for gas, so maybe it's par for the course :-/ There's a bit more pipework for the gas to get through when you blip it so maybe a bit more delay in the fuelling picking up.

Oh, and I don't think that's a supercharger. The supercharged one has a huge lump on the top. I think there's an alternator pulley poking out there, dressed up to look like it might be a supercharger ;D

Quaint, though. 12 valves, Iron heads, pushrods and rockers :o

Odd... I expected more dials i.e. oil pressure, oil temp, etc.... guess I was wrong.

Anyway, not a 5.8 or 6.0, but a 3.8 (and I think I spotted a supercharger) is still more than 3.0 or 3.2....

If that's the 3.8 they put in various yank tanks I've hired (and it looks very much like it) I'll keep my 3.2, thanks.

I've only ever been stopped twice. Once leaving a pub when I was 19 (breath test passed, on your way, sir) and once about a year ago in the Westfield - just confirming it's my car.

I don't have a problem with either of those. If my car had been nicked I'd want them to be making a few spot checks. A bit rough giving you a producer when they have the documents in front of them AND the computer records to confirm it. That just smacks of deliberately making your life difficult.

You would end up getting stuck in jail for 15 days :(

You'd get a darn sight more than that in this country for "inciting racial hatred" in such a malicious way  >:(

Bit excessive for a misfire, me thinks. Then again, he's done a lovely job on the pre-facelift conversion, and he fitted that 3.0 engine pretty quick :o

This is the problem with mixer systems. The inlet tract is full of a perfect fuel-air mix. If the engine is running lean (which is more likely to happen when cold, of course) it can spit back through the intake valves and ignite it.
