Nope. Nor was I for the damage to my vehicles (fortunately only 2 of mine were impacted).

Presumably they would have been perfectly entitled to sue you personally, if they were so inclined ?

Sue for what?  Thats the point ;).

You cannot be held accountable for something that is legally not your fault.  Legally, in this case, including neglegence, willful and so on.
