Put two part worn tyres on the front of the Skoda.
Just to annoy TB.
Serves a purpose in this case.
My point with part worns is they never make financial sense if you think you will be changing them again...
Indeed it did - Continentals for £30 a piece.. still didn't get the £16k I was looking for from WBAC:
"Stone chip on the bumper. That's a bodyshop repair, £300 off"
"Scratch on the passenger door. That's a bodyshop repair, £300 off" (I swear that scratch wasn't there before the two idiots came to look at the car on Sunday...
)
"2cm scratch on the passenger wing. That's a bodyshop repair, £300 off"
"That wheel needs a refurb. That's £95 off"
"Less our £75 admin charge, of course"
In the end, £15,500, but at that point I just wanted to see the arse end of it and never see the bloody thing again, and my desire to
ever sell another car is zero; so I guess I'll be running the rest until they go to the scrap yard!
