With a bit of help from TB, got the cruise working albeit briefly.

Then got home and changed the discs, pads, brake fluid and front wheel bearings.
Then did the discs, pads and fluid on one of the Vectras at work. Was hoping to do the rear subframe bushes, but they'll keep.

Crackered now, so off t'bed. :y

As my Elite sailed through the MOT recently i thought i would treat it to a nice new Stainless system from my local Longlife Exhaust fitting centre. Took car in this morning and picked it up this evening. Chose which "sound" i prefered ( quiet with a nice growl when booted ) and tailpipe configuration. Well chuffed with the result  :y

Faffed around with the Bose in the breaker again for ages.
Came to the conclusion I will probably have to either try another amp - to eliminate amp or headunit - or just sell the whole thing as spares/ repairs. :(

Did an oil change. Oil filter housing slip from my hand as it came off the last thread .......... I was underneath! :o it wasn't funny!  ::)  ;D ;D

Changed the rear shockers for A N Other pair from ElitePete cos one of mine had a fluid leak. Driver's side bottom bolt would not move! It took me well over an hour to get the barsteward out. I had my 2' breaker bar on the case but could only move it 1/12th of a turn each time. Passenger side flew out!  :y

Fixed my gas heater in the car-avan!! New internal copper gas pipes.
New seat motor fuse, and enjoyed driving it in the blistering heat, a lovely v6 sound with the window down.

I've got a factory fit Irmscher back box on the Elite, which sounds infinitely better than the s/s powerflow on the mv6, tbh I think it 's not that great and quite unrefined.

Stood and looked at it .. and smiled .. :)

Shackeng came around with his new 3.2 .. its smart.... good condition  but ....

it is silver
it does not have irmscher kit
it has a "different" exhaust
it does not have CID
it drives well, but feels different

it does not have LPG saving me a small fortune .....

so I looked at mine .....  and smiled again .....   :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

(apologies to Shackeng ....  nowt wrong with your motor at all .........   :)  )
