Stands to reason really. Castle up here equals shed down there, so payouts would be much bigger.
Rebuild costs would be broadly similar? I thought it was land costs that pushed prices up.
Don't think builders up here earn as much as down there, materials should be about the same. £200ish seems reasonable to me.

It was £140 2 years ago, now creeping up at a silly rate. Probably because all the do-gooding 'tards want their period featured chocolate box cottage to be by the river...

Our village is seasonally drowned by the river Arun... which tends to try to push renewals up... however our property is on a ridge line, so always gets haggled back to a sensible price ;D

Been with Barclays for house/contents for a few years now,just renewed at £252 which is about £15 up on last year
