The only date of meet listed I can make is this weekend, all the others I am booked elsewhere.....  This weekend is basically burst as far as Lathalmond goes as the keyholder person went away on hols Saturday past.  As there was no apparent interest, its all gone a bit quiet....

If anyone else wants to persue a meet elsewhere on alternate dates, thats no prob.  By the sound of things Iain, you need your belt kit done asap....

How bigs your driveway?   :-?

....and on that subject my drive way is big enough ( including the garage) for 14 cars  :-X

hi,

My driveway fits 3 cars, theres currently 5 in the family. MY mum would go nuts if I stripped it here, hence why im looking to get together somewhere, she's had enough of me ripping landrovers too bits over the years on it.

However, my gran has a small holding that would hold 6/7 cars, and theres a garage that u can get the car into. Would need to know when ur looking at though?

Cheers,
Iain

Had a prang in my Meega this week so it's gonna be away for a while to let the insurers decide what to do with it  :(

No point in me committing to dates until I know if its coming back or not.  :'(

Doesn't look too bad. Front end needs new bumper, wing, bonnet, lights etc. but it's w-reg 2000 with 99k on the clock and although it's in great nick may just be beyond economical repair :(

I was one of seven or eight vehicles that got hit by a 10 foot long steel portacabin support leg which had become detached from the lorry it was being transported on. Unfortunately the leg itself was still connected to the lorry by an eight foot chain. The lorry was travelling in the opposite direction to us through the very narrow roadworks on the A8000. The driver seemed oblivious to the problem as the leg was cartwheeling through the vehicles alongside him. How it didnt go through my windscreen I'll never know but I managed to brake and swerve so that it just hit the front of my car. It had hit 5 other vehicles in front of mine and a couple behind me too. In the melee several of us ran into the back of each other and I collected a corsa as a bonnet mount  ;D.

Time to look for another meega methinks.

Sounds like we have the formation of another historic  or is it hysteric gathering coming on...... ::)
Do not mind getting down and dirty with spanners in hand or burger....... :o :o :o :o

Definightly bring along family as the gathering at Loch Lomand has shown it can be a good experience. :y

I appreciate some things are a matter of taste/good/bad experiences but i reckon old Fords where the best all rounders, maybe i'm biased, you must have your reasons, but i love 'em. :D ;D

I have an issue with Fords - every one I drive I tend to crash. Kinda put me off them...

I've kinda lost track of this... so what goes? Obviously the may date is out as it's passed, I can't do either of the first two weekends in June as I'll be in San Diego, and the weekend of 7th-8th July is T in the Park so that's a definite no. Other than that I should be available ;)

To recap on whats gone on, the available Lathalmond (Kelty, M90 m/way) dates are as listed in the poll.

Due to family commitments, I cannot guarantee being available on any specific weekend, almost until the last moment, for the forseable future.....   :-X   :(

It basically now needs someone to propose/arrange/coordinate a venue and date and guage the response thereafter.

Not particularly...   :y

Just seems that interest has dropped substantially.  At Loch Lomond the general talk, unless I picked it up wrongly, was to have another meet and get some work done as well as having, possibly, an overnight or at least a few beers.  I suggested Lathalmond, knowing it has the space and possible access to covered work area, irrespective of whether the concensus was a burger and a blether or a spanners and all day out....

If anyone has any alternate suggestions as to a venue, then lets hear them......  I have no particular preference as to where or what format, just that my weekends are at a premium these days....   :y

Just wondering if England meets Scotland in June is preventing people seeing beyond then, hence lack of interest? The lakes should be by far the biggest meet we've done here, so possibly understandable that some peeps are focused on that?
