considering BL had a field full of un-usable ones (due to a change in the rules ) the humble mini metro shopping cart (6R4 version) is a tad pricey these days
I spoke to someone who worked at BL Motorsport back then and he was offered one of the clubsport 6R4s from the field (albeit painted up in works colours) as a redundancy payment, he took the cash instead...
probably wise
unless you had a heated ,dry ,hermetically sealed box to keep a BL product in until now
then you'd only have to worry about the rust that the BL factory installed during production  ;D

Spaceframe chassis and plastic bodywork, so might just have been ok.

Headlights, taillights and front grille are clearly the same  :P

In some pictures it looks a lot like the lot was grafted onto a standard bodyshell (at least A-C pillar), too? https://www.motoringresearch.com/car-news/metro-6r4-silverstone-classic-auction/

I agree, they look like bolt on bits. Ugly little ficker.

Imay be wrong, but my impression is that it was a spaceframe with a silhouette plastic bodyshell. Might ask the bloke across the road when I see him, as he used to have one.

That 'upgrade' would have been handy for Nick Berry in Heartbeat. He'd have caught the baddies in no time.

As with most projects of the type, the drive home would, no doubt, fill up your todo list quite nicely, and that's if it wasn't mostly spent on the back of an AA truck. ;D
