last sold for £3½K in 2015 at auction

https://www.silverstoneauctions.com/events/2015-auctions/the-restoration-show-sale-2015/the-restoration-show-sale-2015-sale/the-restoration-show-sale-2015-sale-session/1969-rover-p5b-caravanette

It was a little 'twee' inside' in the first place .....  though a bit more in keeping with the period of the car.

While they've done a brilliant job inside now, it's bit like putting modern decor inside an old stately home  :-\

If you leave aside that fact that some people object to the model of car used, and take into account what these motorhomes sell for, that's not an outrageous price. No doubt, if you were really interested, you'd get it for a bit less.

I almost posted that Imp on this thread yesterday, but couldn't be arsed to go back on ebay and find it again.

This will be one of those cars (like the Jaguar XKs, Mk2s etc in the late 70's) where in the future no one will believe how cheap they once were.

That said, I'd be opening a fresh packet of brave pills before bidding on that!  :o

£500 in oil packs alone I would think, thousands in glass. Then there's that engine.  8)
