Ive met and spoken to him quiet a few times in the past as he used to drink in one of my locals, nice chap, a very reserved and quiet character in real life.

I've had the pleasure of meeting him in his home. A genuinely decent fella.

Remember that episode of "Porriage" when David jason played Blanco and showed his model of Muffin the Mule to Fletch? I never realised that it was David playing Blanco until the end credits - I was absolutely floored when I saw that, it was SO unlike his portrayal of Grenville in "Open all Hours" that it took me a while to believe it!
That's acting!

Ron.
