Title: Wheel colour choices
Post by: 05omegav6 on 15 September 2012, 08:30:39
Thinking of doing summat a bit different with my car :-\ Would black wheels look good on a white car, or would polished/silver be better :-\

I've a couple of 18" designs in mind...
Also, I know that there's a bit of a debate regarding the offset. Is et38 acceptable with 8J wheels on the Omega :-\

Probably not ::) 15" steel ones perhaps, but doubt 18" Sportstars would give that impression :y

Besides it shouldn't be a cab for too much longer...

If you have got your hands on a set of sportstars (you lucky barsteward), i'd leave them alone  :y
Unless you have the dosh to have them cromed that is

Refurbing a tatty set was the plan. If there being stripped and re painted, the colour is a  technicality :y

Just need some clarification about the offset before I decide :y

IMHO, chromed wheels don't work in this country... Not enough sunshine  ;)

I'm not into coloured rims, although have seen some black ones that look ok. Of course, I've got a dark car so standard colour all the way for me ;)

Got to admit, I do like chrome on a car  :y

Even better is the car paintwork is a nice deep red / black colour  :)

Looks great at night if you get some light on it.

Those chromed wheels on the Cateras do look a bit cheap :-\

After something a bit different without being chavvy or bling, just smart, silver would look okay with the white, but I think black could be a tidy contrast. 8)

Only undecided because it's not something that I've really looked at before :-\

Personally I think black wheels do suit white cars but not all wheels will suit, it depends on the wheel design etc.
