Afternoon guys & girls,

Del's youngest son here; yesterday my dad had a mini stroke according to the doctor, he's alright now, and sort of as normal, but he has been urgently referred to the Stroke ward in our hospital, so he'll be up there within the next couple of days. Just wanted to let you all know, and ask if any of you had any advice that was all?

A friend of mine has just bought a car without doing a HPI check (Idiot I know), from a private individual, anyway turns out the car is a write off, previously Cat D in 2008. Does anyone know if it's a legal obligation to state that the car has been in an accident or not? I know for the trade it's obviously a legal obligation to say so, but private I'm not sure? Anyone? It's certainly something I've not come across before.

Bloody no service since about 3 o'clock this afternoon, I seemed to have been one of the first affected, my son had his and it was at full whack. Now him and I are off, bloody nuisance, whole country barring a few lucky ones are affected apparently. I do hope I get some money off the bill!

Got a 2006 VW Polo 1.4, need the front ball joints doing, however rang euro car parts for a price, they said the ball joints you have to buy separately from the arm, if buy just the ball joints and use the old arm, I take it I'll need a press to get the old ones out?

My eldest just got caught speeding on the motorway, basically the scenario is, motorbike up his arse, Golf in the third land, and the two other lanes are completely free of traffic. Anyway Golf moves over he goes past then slows back down. The bike behind him turns out to be an unmarked police bike. Basically it shows him doing from 80-90 MPH for the duration, then when he passes the Golf he got up to 103 for a couple of seconds then he slows back to around 85 MPH. They've said to him they've got to send it off to the court so they decide what to do. He could obviously receive a ban for this, is it likely he will?

Just had someone come to view one of my cars, bearing in mind, it's a January 2011 car with 10,000 miles, so there's a stone chip or two on the front. Anyway basically, the guy and his wife come to view the car, the wife bends down in front of the car and notices a stone chip, "oh that's had a serious front end crash that has most defiantly, and it's had a new number plate, and I work with cars" bearing in mind it still has the original BMW UK number plates. She then walks to the back of the car, where after cleaning it I missed some wax, "oh that's a crush dent, that's been painted" whatever one of those is, soon shut up when i wiped the wax away. The husband then said "oh there's dirt on the seatbelts". Now my son who was out there with me at that point flipped, and politely (well quite impolitely actually) told them to bugger off, just as I was going to do. I've honestly never, ever met someone quite as picky, whiny, and more irritating when viewing a car, now I pride myself on having hopefully the cleanest cars available, and it's most certainly never had any paintwork. Too say I'm irritated would be a severe understatement

Just had the Police round for an incident which occurred in march with a traffic warden. They've got to come back and see me tomorrow morning around 9am, what I was wondering is there a legal time limit they have for coming round to investigate? Basically a very attitudy (is that a word?), traffic warden said I gave him a load of mouth etc etc, although I was in my car and he was on the path? Any ideas?
