Title: Apple Watch
Post by: STEMO on 15 April 2018, 10:27:22
Wifey's has just had a 40° wash, caught it before it had a chance to spin as it was sitting in the rubber door seal and banging on the glass (let me out!)  ;D
Shit! Took it out, dried it of with some kitchen roll, works fine. That has saved a few hundred quid for a replacement  :)

My current watch is a £9.99  Casio (reduced from £19.99) from Argos.

It must be nice to own an expensive designer watch. :'(

Living in Barnsley is just the cherry on the cake. I'm envious. :-\

It's not a designer watch, it's wearable technology  :P

Technology?.......I can't even spell the word technology. :'(

As for the Tata, it is a run of the mill car much like an Astra.

No....it makes and receives phone calls.

Yeah. One here for used astra price on the trader. To the untrained eye, it would look like a proper jag as it drove past:

A 3 year old 11000 mile XFR is similar in price to a new Astra at RRP.

Therefore the Jag is 'ordinary' :y

JLR are cutting 1000 workers primarily because 90% of their cars run on canal boat fuel and derv sales are down 37% this quarter.

Yep, excellent news for those of us who are not stupid enough to be taken in by the hype. Cheap cars that run on cheap fuel, superior mpg and get along the road quite nicely, thank you.
Wifey travels to Sheffield and back every day, no motorways involved. She is returning 53mpg (in an automatic), can get to 62 from a standing start in 9 seconds and has plenty of torques to play with. What's not to like?

I'm not anti-derv. :)

If I could pick up a new diesel Jag for a few hundred quid I'd buy it. :)

Not so. As I said earlier, hype. Euro 6 diesels emit a lot less Co2 than equivalent petrols and the new filters are good at catching the NOX. £35pa tax as well. Win win.

The diesels that kill people are buses and trucks.........sort that one out.

According to The Guardian this is primarily because of BREXIT!  ::)

Lizzie. In my opinion Jaguar should never have 'dabbled with derv'. Derv is for lorries, always has been. :y :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

I do wonder how many cars will be scrapped after May's (the month ,not the woman ruining everything else)
new mot rules come into force  :-\
Just cleaned out the rocker breathers on the wife's astra shooting brake ,
simple job ,but how many people know how to ,and how many fail emissions and panic into buying a newer car  :-\

Ironically my 19 year old BMW is exempt from the new rules despite the fact that I leave a cloud of smoke behind me when I kick down!    :o  ;D

My 10 year old Mondeo I'm more worried about and will be presented for MOT before 20th May.  ;)

My 25 year old carlton has a non cat emission test ,
even in the latest draft mot manual (from may 29th) it's still worded
"If a vehicle first used before 1 September 2002 is fitted with an engine that's older than the vehicle, you
must test it to the standards applicable for the engine. The vehicle presenter must have proof of the age
of the engine. "

And plant starvation where you are depriving them of extra servings of CO2. I'm getting this one first where we are all doomed, I say doomed, where STEMO and wifey are going to cause the next ice age through lack of CO2 and end Northern hemisphere civilization. ;D ;D ;D
