How do i remove the complete ashtray assembly please

First remove the metal holder from the ashtray by moving the retaining cclip as you would do to empty it. Then if you shine a torch in you will see a philips screw in the centre which you undo with a long screwdriver. Complete unit pulls straight out

Insert can stay, just hold the flap closed with the shaft of the screw driver
