Gets down to Vx this morning, worrying about trying to make the receptionist understand the fault. An acquaintance of mine is sitting with another receptionist explaining exactly the same fault! We said hello and swapped tales about which dash lights were coming on. With his car it was the works.....everything.
That coincidence saved me a whole lot of words. :)
Neither receptionist batted an eyelid, they knew already.

Yeah. I also asked him if he'd had a replacement throttle pedal switch, as per another thread of mine. He had. ;D

They will last forever if Vauxhall continue to adopt the Trigger's broom approach
though Trigger, thick as he is ,worked out which part actually needed swapping ,rather than throwing parts at it willy-nilly  :-X
remember to book it in for another throttle pedal in January Uncle Stemo  :y

Out of warranty by then. Perhaps they fitted the new, super-upgraded, indestructible one last time. Hope so.  ;D

I hope so , for your sake  :y
I think that they only have ONE spare pedal ,and they swap your old one into the next astra that comes in and so on ,
sooner or later, you'll end up with your original pedal back  ;D
all the brand new pedals they order for the jobs, the Vauxhall part swapper sticks on Eboy
oops , I mean Ebay  :-X

Shocked  :o

Vx phoned me earlier and asked if they could fit a new rear wiper blade as old one was knackered. I said yes.
Just had a call to say the car is ready to collect. MOT, service, leak fixed with new length of hose and new rear wiper blade. £232. Like I said......shocked  :o

Mind you, thinking about it, the leak was fixed under warranty, so no charge. Still very reasonable for a dealer.

Warranty repairs should have at least a year on them regardless of the rest of the car :y

Also rear blade should also be FOC as the fluid delivery issue would have caused premature wear ;)

Tried the washer for the first time last night, the motor sounds much quieter. I reckon there's a bit of insulation gone in.
