I was out training tonight. -3 here apparently.  Was only cold for about 15 mins.  After that it was quite toasty.
There are some proper pansified knob heads around...

Been doing an induction all week, rooms are quite warm, so have had the aircon on full chat... Nice and comfortable in short sleeved shirt but one chap insisted on making a drama out of putting on two jumpers and a coat rather than asking to turn the temperature up slightly.

Given that he was doing the job, (working out on the Ramp), last year, but started in May and finished in October, he's in for one hell of a surprise next week when we start outside ;D

I will be laughing my nads off wearing a T shirt, fleece and hi vis. I can see him wearing full artic gear or asking for a job inside ;D

For me it's not about being 'ard, it's just you don't let your mates/team down.  Plus I don't really feel the cold unless I am sick. I often wear a vest jacket outside just so that people don't think I am deranged.

I'm 'sayin nuffin'. :)

With your taste in certain women, I don't think you are in a position to judge m'lud ::)

Everything you say points to the DIS module or spark leads.  I would not assume it is working because it looks ok or worked on another vehicle.  The Omega ones are very tempramental.  Check the spark on each cyl and trace back the problem.

The crass ridicule meted out by micron and barnier on sky TV this morning was astounding.
" We know what the UK doesn't want ,but not what it does want..."

Well here's a clue , everything you said Nein or Non to.

Yes they're not looking so smug this morning are they?  ::)

And I bet your mates down the local aint so cock a hoop either!  ;D

I think that those MPs that voted against the deal and who represent constituencies that voted to leave shoud probably start updating their CVs before the next election.

I am also still 135kg although I am losing fat and building muscle (for the rugby of course) ::)

(I still have 15Kg to go to get down to your weight, though.. and a lot less of mine is muscle ;D ;D)

Admittedly i am 30% fat according to the machine at the gym. I would like to get down to 15-20% which means losing about 20kg.  Not easy but not impossible either.

Because he does it for show and not for fitness, that is quite evident for any decent cyclist to see.  His bike is completely the wrong fit for him, anyone who cycles far and often will make sure the bike fits correctly to avoid pains, strains and muscle tiredness.  As for his running style, anyone his size will get very sweaty doing a run session of any worth.  He seems to amble about in front of the cameras.

His image was very well engineered for a while, however he seems to have self-imploded since leaving the cabinet which is good or bad depending on your views of Boris.

I reckon you'd kick his flabby pale arse in a triathlon. :)

After another medical incident in 2017 (my 2nd in 3 Ironman races) I have decided to give all that up.  I still swim pretty well given that I was a competitive swimmer for 13 years until I was chucked out left my swimming club.  My Ironman Wales swim time was 1 hour 21 mins so not too shabby, although ti would have been better without a rugby-related neck injury hampering training in the pool.  I have sold my race bike as it was taking up space and never being used although I have my commuter bike and I am thinking of getting another bike suitable for long distance rides.  I am also still 135kg although I am losing fat and building muscle (for the rugby of course) ::)

All that said, I think you are probably right ;D

Ha! I didn't think anyone else on here would actually play! I had to give up for a few years while I worked away so much but started training again this year. I'm 35 so I'm not quite as bouncey as I used to be, and the rules around scrummaging, or at least how they are applied seem to have changed a bit since I last played!

You make a good point about the pads, personally I hope it doesn't happen, and changing/updating the laws is the only way to avoid it.

I know how you feel, I had a neck injury while I was in to Ironman so I stoppped playing for several years.  I was ending up in hospital for my crohns more often through Ironman than previously through rugby and after Austria in summer 2017 and a week in Frimley I stopped all sport.  Late last year my weight  had ballooned by more than 15kg and my triglycrides were dangerously high so I had to do something.  I am back in to playing rugby and loving it although the first session back nearly killed me. ;D

It is generally accepted that using pads increases the forces subjected to the tacklee as they reduce the pain on the tackler that limits the force in the tackle.  I still play, I'm 135kg and I am fast (in a straight line) for someone my size.  I know that I can absolutely munch somebody with a tackle if I get the timing right.  However, it hurts me to do so and I know that I can maybe do that a maximum of 3-4 times in a match, anymore and the pain is too much for me.  Give me pads like they have in AF and I would be able to repeatedly hit that hard with little consequence and thus increasing the chance of a whiplash injury to the tacklee.  My goal is not to hurt the opposition players but to use my physicality to intimidate them in to making mistakes, the effect that a 135kg chap coming at you at full tilt has can be quite de-stabilising leading to errors and an advantage to my team.

It would only require a fleeting moment of 'courage' and action to make it happen beyond a point where any change of heart would be too late.
