My 1998 2.5 V6 Manual Saloon is for sale
« on: 09 August 2009, 21:43:53 »

Good and Bad news really.

Good news is I'm a Dad again
Bad news the saloon has to go and I get to inherit the wife's Focus while she gets a lairy estate to galavant around in.

So quick blurb:

All CD bits and bobs on the mini facelift model. 104K ish miles.

Good bits:

All four cams fitted from the 3.0 engine
3.0 throttle body fitted (yes I know same as 2.5 but the butterflies were shiny and 'edged'  lol)
Chipped ECU to match cam swap
Irmscher sport springs all round
Boge shocks/struts all round
New front wishbones
New front drop links
New MAF/AFM
New dispack/coilpack
New HT leads
New plugs
New crank sensor
Four new tyres in last 6 months
New Mintex front discs and pads in last 6 months or so
K+N replacement panel filter

Engine oil and filter changed every 6 months
Petrol filter changed each year ( I drive petrol tankers and now how dirty it really is!!)
Cambelt and pulleys and water pump replaced about 15K ago. Cam cover gaskets done about 12 months ago (all OE bits used)

Taxed to end of August 2009 and MOT to March/April next year

Bad Bits

Dreaded rot around rear arches coming through and likewise a few bubble by weather strip on rear side windows.
Air con needs a gas up (about £45 at KwikFit with gurantee)
Secondary air thingy is a bit noisy at times

Looking for around £600
Taxed to end of August 2009
MOT'd to March/April 2010 (cant recall exact date and cant be arsed to go up stairs and wake up the new baby)

All going well I get the wife's chariot end of the week.

In my opinion the rust isnt too bad. Certainly not to the point where you would be considering replacement panels.

I think you're looking something like £350 ish to get the bubbles on the rear passenger doors and arches done.

Depends who you know really in the painting game

Rust around door frames and rear arches is common on Omega and pretty much any vehicle of this year

Also included is OmegaOwners.com sticker across lower edge of rear windscreen. Thats an extra 20bhp easy LOL ;)
