Yesterday our eldest female cat came back all drowsy and throwing up , took her to the vet and there was no chance of saving her

as someone had poisoned her with antifreeze

Vet said the dose was off the scale !! Next doors cat been missing 2 weeks and one over the road .
I say poisoned because she was fed meat by someone with antifreeze in it

I know some folk dont like cats but to do that is just down right cruelty beyond belief .. we have our suspicions who it could be but its proving it

Must have been a fairly deliberate act as 90% of antifreeze sold now has a "bitter agent" added to stop animals drinking it ... so "old" stock or search for stuff without the agent ...

Yes this crossed my mind as well when I saw this yesterday. I think people add antifreeze to those 'tasteful' water features rather than ponds though.

Thing is cats are free roamers so it's difficult to keep them in and safe from the knuckle scrapers, but then who or what is safe in this country of late.

Yes, I should have said water features. I have a very tasteful (in my eyes at least) birdbath but I don't use antifreeze in it.

I would like to think it was a genuine accident/misfortune but
with one dead and two missing i doubt it

its not just were you live , same thing up here at least 5 or six have been reported in a 10 mile area ,, but to make it even sicker they have been skinning them round here as well as poising them ,

I think if it was accidental then the bodies might have been found.

I think it`s sick that people do this kind of thing and if anything happened to either of my two cats then I`d be doing everything I could to find the culprit.

Something that I am sure the birds are grateful for...

I am always conscious of thoroughly flushing the drive if I spill any, and tend to use a bowl under the radiator drain to drop the coolant, allowing for it to be reused or suitably disposed of as appropriate.

Next door have cats, and I have to be careful not to shut them in the garage as they are quite nosey

I could not be held accountable if someone deliberately harmed one of my pets, but unfortunately, unless you have easy access to a slurry pit, anything you might consider doing would be an added burden on NHS resources.

Similar problem with me here, Al; one cat squeezed in through a tiny gap (amazing how they can do that!) into my garage, couldn't get out, apparently, and was sick and cra**ed everywhere! I was not best pleased.
Nonetheless, I would never harm one and always use a big seed tray (no drainage holes in the bottom!) to collect any coolant, etc.

My garage door is permanently (partially) open (wedge is too long) so I have all and sundry wandering in there. Cats, Hedgehogs, Pikeys, etc. They do crap all over the place but I can live with it. C'est la vie. I don't have to poison them.

I wish I could stop the neighbours cats from using my cars as 'territory' markers, but a bit of cat pee isn't going to end the world. I certainly wouldn't harm them, even though I'm not keen on cats.

I got attacked this morning by our male cat , he does that
to tell you he wants out . He's been acting strange since we had to
put the other one sleep , kind of clingy and keeps close and keeps
looking for the other one in and out it every room

We got offered a kitten yesterday but turned it down .. don't think
its wise to take on another while all this is going on .

I've had them go for several weeks... One of mums went for 10 weeks, the other about 15. Both returned home fine

I've just spent 8 nights down near there and this sort of thing is the talk of the locals.
It would seem that it is becoming the norm with the small penis brigade who feel intimidated by small animals and birds

A pint or antifreeze poured down the bastards throats would send the appropriate message imho
Or if your in a really evil mood (like me today after seeing the ficking scratch down the lads car), top it up with bleach
