Dont go by what retailers say, they lent me a new one to get my dead by the roadside estate started and their computer gave me a 60aH one which he uprated to a diesel version. Woulnt even make the starter motor tick!

Eventually got a heavy duty 70aH one for £60 quid and a box of biscuits for coming out and jump starting mine

If i remember my other estate i put a 96 ah one on but then i was using that as a delivery vehicle, just like the one i have now

I have a 70AH Genuine GM on both of my 2.5 elites. A bargain if you have access to a Trade Card. ;)

You can squeeze the higher rated diesel spec in there, just.  It's UK battery type '110' , 85ah, £62 delivered for a decent Varta Silver Dynamic from www.tayna.co.uk.  Plus VAT.  >:(

The a/h (amps per hour) is the duration, the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) rating is the starting kick , two very different things.  The diesel spec Varta is 85ah and 800CCA.  No harm to fit a higer spec of either within reason.

Here is a heads up for anyone in the west/south west london area,
There is a battery company in the Tolworth area that i can recommend to all thos who need a new battery. the company is called  CPC BATTERYS, RED LION ROAD, TOLWORTH, SURREY.
Google them and get the phone no and give them a call, i have used these guys for many a freind , collegue, and family over a long period of time, and trust them compleatly.
TELL THEM VENDING M/C MAN GARY SENT YOU, you never know you might get a discount. :y
