Less than 11000 miles but I wager it'll fail on the same thing as my old XFR.

Rear tyres that resemble racing slicks?

Michelin Pilot Sport 4s 285/30/20 are pretty new......and the old girl doesn't have the firepower of the modern super saloons we have today :(.... So no.

Jaguar needs to add 150 BHP and all wheel drive.......oh, and lose 500 KG while they are at it. :)

Nah, rear wheel drive is more fun :D

Yeah.....I agree. But your Datsun only has about 330 BHP to deal with. :)

362 bhp to be honest but it`s plenty at the moment  ;D

For the first time, and it had to happen eventually, my bank had to contact me late this morning due to "suspicious activity" on my account involving £500 in total.

It turns out that four "purchases" were made using my PayPal details, with two being blocked, but two for computer parts going through and due to be delivered to an address in Burton-On-Trent!

I spent all afternoon on the phone to the bank, PayPal, and Action Fraud.  The fraudulent actions have been accepted by both PayPal and my bank, with refunds being issued.

The odd thing was though, and no "expert" in any organisation I contacted, including BT, could explain why, after the attempted fraud, thousands of email's started to arrive from all over the World, with I think every language used!  Throughout the afternoon TWO emails EVERY SECOND was touching down, with the eventual grand total reaching 5,000+!!! :o :o :o :o

I have now taken action to change my email address and delete the old one, but what an effort that was with 4 different BT customer services staff failing to provide any real help to stop the crazy number of email's. As I was changing the email addresses the BT system stated it could take "up to 60 days" for any changes could be made, and none of the BT staff could help me with that.  In the end I have sorted it all, and I have stopped the rouge email's!! >:( >:( >:(

I am so careful, and ironically have hardly used Paypal, instead using a direct debit card payment, the details of which the fraudsters used.  How I just do not know, and perhaps will never know. Passwords are changed regularly, full security measures are on my devices,  I don't click onto any emails I do not expect and am very careful to use only legitimate, well known and rated, suppliers.

A life experience indeed! ::) ::)

Are these the really bad red ones  ;D ;D ;D

Booger  :)  Can`t you appeal these notices  ???

your exit wasn`t blocked as you entered the box, I`d appeal anyway & don`t forget there are a number of legal eagles on this forum  that could stitch you up advise you accordingly  :)

If your exit wasn`t blocked when entering the box then you wouldn`t be stuck in the box  :-\

On the older cars so outside of warrant. Do you still need to use run flats.
Also anybody got any pro and cons on a 2008 320 petrol. Auto

You can fit normal tyres but have to tell insurance as its a mod

I wouldn`t have thought is was classed as a mod in the same way that fitting run flats to a car that didn`t have them as standard would be a choice not a mod.

General Car Chat / Re: Omega and Aston Martin
« on: 01 February 2018, 22:06:05 »
Just watching this week's CAR SOS, the boys doing an Aston Martin DB6, enjoyed seeing  three SU carbs and 2 SU fuel pumps - they brought back memories - and I was reminded of my calling on an old school friend in Marlow on the way home from the High Wycombe meeting in 2015. Looking for friend's house, I  wandered into the house next door by mistake, and parked my Omega next to his neighbour's Aston Martin, Porsche and Range Rover. Sour grapes I know, but I thought my Vx was the best car there.

thank you :y

So they actually learned from their mistakes? How amazing and unusual.
Most of my local ones are misplaced, forcing traffic to perform contortions on the road, and they refuse to relocate them in a sensible position - they, of course, know best (NOT)!  >:(

Ron.

I took them a couple of years to correct it but at least they did and it`s miles better now.

Highways "engineers" (what a misuse of the the term engineer) are generally deficient in common sense - have you ever seen a mini-roundabout that serves a useful purpose? There are several local to me that have priority signs/road markings that are universally ignored, and I am amazed that there aren't loads more accidents.

Ron.

Yes, on a road I use quite a lot, they replaced a crossroads with a mini roundabout which worked quite well as there is an even flow of traffic from all sides. They then changed it back to a crossroads a number of years later which then saw tailbacks on the non priority side going back up to a mile at peak times.
In the middle of last year they changed it back to a mini roundabout and the queues are now gone, even at peak time there are only four or five cars in any one direction.
