Towbar Wanted, Sorry I know its in the wrong area.
« on: 30 March 2009, 01:26:03 »

Evening all,

I have just purchased a car which I will be picking up tomorrow, more to come about that later though.

I really need a towbar for it, preferably complete with the electrics (and a wiring diagram would be nice, might be pushing it there though) for a 99/T Elite TD Saloon.

Anyone out there got one sitting around they want to sell me?

Sorry this is in the wrong area but it will take me months to have done 250 posts which as you will know is the amount I have to do before I can post anything in the For Sale/Wanted section.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I have a saloon towbar with detachable hitch and twin electrics. It also has the boards for the boot floor to level it out with the top plate.

When I detached it I wrote down the wiring as the fitter had cut the cars wiring plug and connected directly.

Oh and ignore the tray in the first pic, I was just soaking the rear adjusters in plus gas and didn't want to mark the drive  ;D

That's good idea, I've used a piece of old carpet to level it up a little.

Out of curiosity ..... I've fitted Elite Pete/Kev Woods Westfalia detachable bar to mine .... what make is your's? Is that Bosal I can just about read?

I wondered what the tray was, and I used a spare Mig carpet cut up to level the boot floor, I convinced myself it was quieter too.  ::)

Yep is a Bosal, requires a cut to be made in the bumper that you can't see unless you get down below bumper level.

The instructions say it will fit Omega A and B so I guess it'd fit a Carlton Saloon as well.

Should mention that I have the bolts, instruction manual and the bag for the hitch.
