A bit scruffy perhaps but it looks very like a buzzard to me.

After a quick Google, I have come to the conclusion that its some sort of bird of prey.....

Its not an Eagle (you dont find them that far south, they prefer cold climates)

It could be a Sparrow Hawk

It could also be a Harris Hawk, but they tend to have tethers attached to their legs, as they are the most common type of 'pet' bird of prey....

I initially thought it was an Osprey, but not enough white in the underwing parts....

It is more than likely a Common Buzzard...

Defford not a Harris Hawk... Saw one up close (5") last week. Shape is all wrong too :y
