Windscreen Washers
« on: 08 June 2007, 11:32:16 »

Hi, The washers on my 2002 2.6cd have started playing up, I only get a dribble of washer fluid when i press and hold the washer switch, if i press it on and off rapidly i get a normal squirt for about 1 second, the washer motor sound like its working fine and the washer tank is full.

Is there a filter or a one way valve that might be faulty, will get chance for a better look this weekend.

Cheers - Frank.

Pop the washer motors out of the washer bottle (easy on a facelift as its accessable with the bonnet open) and clean the filters out.....

My car had a headlight washer pump that didn't work.

I replaced with a working pump. However when I turn the lights on the pump run constantly until out of water then continues to run.

How can I sort this?
