Here are some photos of the 2nd Jockular Omega Meet on the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond on Easter Monday 07. It was a great day (except the weather).

I nearly made it too - I've been on hols to Edinburgh, but it was too cold to go any further north so I've come back to a warmer country.

It was a good day out, despite me missing the initial turn to get onto the correct road (daughter robbed me of my satnav and the wife's mapreading skills are approximatelty zilch....).

Then we had DaveL's Sally SatNav intent of taking us on a wonderous cross country tour - I knew the West Coast was indian country, but didn't know there were as many unsignposted waggon trails into the vast beyond.....

The way home was quicker, smother, wider and less stressfull... - and it eased the probs with the broken roll bar link rod that the deep pothole clamber caused on the way in!

Easy fix though....

Talked about the next meet.

How about the 'bus museum at Kelty?

Bus Museum would be a great place for a Cam Belt Party. They've even got a couple of garages you could fit an Omega in!

Not the best of websites but we could probably sort out something as regards a (large) aircraft hanger to do work in as well as having a meet.... Also camping space with loos (no showers though) and in the middle of approximately nowhere, so noise of an evening is no problem.....

Great idea. 20k miles before I need another cambelt change (approx 6 mths) but loads of other things I could use the space for...

Exhaust.... brake discs... oil change.... breathers... wishbones... etc.

Count me in.

Damn I missed this one, ended up out on the Sunday night (well after partying in Newcastle on Friday and Edinburgh on Saturday I was on a roll) and I woke up still feeling a little drunk on Monday morning, hence my decision to stay away from the vehicles for a while!

Ho hum, I should've known that a bank holiday Monday would've been a bit hopeful for me, can't resist the lure of Sunday night clubbing, oh and I had some nice sensible chat with some nice chicas

Yes it's an Irmscher Front Airdam for the pre-facelift model's, it's avaliable from Vauxhall dealer's but it's very expensive, it's a one piece front bumper and includes the fog lights, try eBay

Kev telephone me last night for a last minute BBQ at the same location, then asked if I could bring my portable BBQ so he could have the last minute BBQ, Cheeky B******D

Cheers, just googled them.

They are part of "Forest Holidays" ?

Their website demands a minium stay of 3 nights

On our trip it will be over night stay only.... maybe 2 nights. I will have to speak to the guys, I think 3 nights will be pushing it...

Quite cheap though, £38 for 3 nights for 3 people

I am on my 5th omega and have been an irmscher nut for every one of them, there is so much that you can do to these old barges!

Agreed, My omega now has the full Irmscher treatment, it took a long time and money to get but it's worth it

I noticed in the pics that some of you fellas there seemed to have modified front fog lights / bumpers on your cars . Am i correct ?

Ive got a GLS and ive been hunting (for ages) for a pair of fron fogs from a facelift CD or higher spec .

( The GLS has none

)

Hello, well the facelift model with the irmscher front bumper belongs to kev and I think he sold the original front bumper from his car on ebay about a year ago with the foglights, sorry
