Current GM oil offer...
« on: 05 February 2014, 20:17:33 »

New car requires 5w30 fully synth, which will also fit the Omega ::)

Current Daewoo Chevrolet offer is less per can than VX, for exact same oil in the exact same box of four cans.

£14 per 5litres plus vat, without a Trade Card :y

Is this offer available all over or just a local promotion?  Sounds too good to miss :y :y

Yes. No. No. In that order. Fuel saving will be paying for the car, with change 8)

That was at Go Vauxhall :y enquired just in case the Insignia uses any as it is running in, and also as I intend to change the oil/filter every 5k :y

I did have to ask nicely, but always pays to ask anyway, as sometimes the 4x5l is cheaper than a 20l drum and vice versa :y

For new taxi runs? Surprised you went for a hatch? Elite spec? I really must try Elite seats

I keep looking at them, be interested to see how you get on DIY work wise :)

I will ask nicely at my local VX shrine,  always on the look out for a bargain :)

Thanks again for the heads up :y

It's an Exclusive, with the Plus Pack (18"s and front fogs) :y

Not my first choice of spec, but perfectly adequate for Taxi work, which is kind of the point. At the very least, I would have ordered an estate with Bluetooth and DAB ::)

That said, I potentially had a choice of colours, white being my only actual requirement, and it was £10k off list... which is infinitely better than a kick in the knackers with a sharp boot ::)

I was informed of it by a Vauxhall dealer :y

I believe they sell Chevrolet within the group, but not at that garage... they still service and provide parts for them though.

I have no tradecard and asked simply for the most cost effective way to buy 20 litres of 5w30 fully synth :y

Must resist! Must resist! I think I've got about 10 cans of Halfrauds fully synth in the garage following their Christmas offer. ::)
