« on: 18 February 2015, 13:40:30 »

before pulling my drivers door apart any ideas. when I operate with the  remote the pop up stops just short so I have to pull it up 2mm? to open the door or operate the inside handle. Another day the remote operates ok but the inside handle doesnt open the door. Strange?

These are all mechanical linkages so the only way to check is to take the assembly out and inspect it. However, erratic locking is often down to a failing motor, which you have to take the assembly out to change. Use the how to guide and it'll take 30-45 mins.

Following my problem I fitted a NEW locking motor but still have the same problem  the pop up knob comes up almost to fully up but say 2 or 3 mm short of fully up,a lift by hand and door opens. The lock mechanism was a  little rusty so lubricated that. Any ideas maybe need a new lock mechanism , Any hidden away in garages. :y
