Yes I believe you do need to prime system, just as you do if ever you run out of diesel. :y

Hi Paul,

Can you tell me where the filter is and maybe how you went about changing it?

I have a saloon though so perhaps it is in a different place....?

Thanks.

When changing a diesel filter you must fill it with fuel... Otherwise you will have problems starting like you did.

The Diesel engine needs priming... They are supposed to self prime, IIRCC, but need to be turned over a lot!! :y :y :y

Hi the fuel filter is on the drivers side between the expansion tank and the bulk head. You will see two black pipes and a electric cable going into it. You can loosen the expantion tank buy removing the clip to the inner wing and pushing it towards the engine to free it. You will need a torque fro the top of the fuel filter.
After you have replaced it full the filter with diesel before starting, I did not at first and had to give it a tow to start will remember that one the next time.

regards

Paul
