General Discussion Area / good deed of the day
« on: 26 October 2013, 19:37:50 »
On my way home from work this afternoon (OT ) I spotted an elderly lady looking a little upset stood at the side of her mobility scooter on the pavement. As I got nearer her, I could see that scooter was at an odd angle to the pavement & it was stuck half & half on the grass verge & the pavement.
Naturally I pulled over & asked if I could help. She'd been trying to turn round on the pavement, put a wheel on the grass & grounded it. I asked her which direction she wanted to go in & pull the scooter off the grass. She was delighted, thanked me, hoped on & scootered away.
Now why couldn't any of the other drivers that had driven passed done the same thing?

Kind of following on from Mark's post re Tram Crossing Death, do people actually take any notice of what's happening in the world around them?

.... on a mobile phone. What's it for? I don't want/need to change anything, I was just curious after I applied a start up PIN to my phone/SIM after putting replacement SIM in it (I drowned the old one) and just wondered what PIN2 was for

He/she only needed to look at the back of the car for the spelling!
(I know I'm not perfect myself ....... but I'm not selling a car on the Bay of e )
Although it's a facelift, it's probably a better car to spend your £1800 on than the T reg )
and why do sellers quote the original price when new?

I promised to lend my Autel code readers to one of the lads at work. Just been to my garage to dig it out and ............... it's no where to be seen. I can only think I've already lent it out to someone & the buggers still have it! Trouble is I've no idea who it might be.

General Car Chat / Another pass
« on: 27 August 2013, 19:32:02 »
Just MOT'd the Omega this afternoon ready for taking to Newent (got shouted at for turning up in a Merc last year ) talk about leaving it to the last minute .
It could do with ..........
a couple of tyres for the back (they were borderline last year )
front offside wishbone bush .... singular
a couple of brake pipes could do with a wire brushing & greasing up
If only I'd got my harris into gear a couple of weeks ago & I wouldn't be running around like the proverbial blue bottomed fly before Friday morning!

I'm surprised that there's been no mention of Cheryl Cole's newest tattoo yet or have I missed it?
