Peugeot 206 keys locked in the car
« on: 19 May 2017, 09:14:47 »

Morning, my little brother has locked the keys in his car, he had a bad connection on the battery and when he moved the battery cable it locked the central locking.
Does anyone know if it's possible to unlock the car from under the bonnet as he still has the bonnet open.
He isn't the most mechanically gifted but is going to try and see if he can get to the button on the key as is in the ignition barrel.
Just thought I would ask in case there is a way from the engine bay.

Very much doubt there is any way from the engine bay. I think the aa and thieves bent the top half of the drivers door open just enough to either unlock the door or press the key fob with a stick maybe?

New window is the last option, he's almost got it open now.

Rear quarter light if a three door... Replacement will take enough time for a cuppa to brew ;)

Cheers guys,
He almost got it unlocked but couldn't quite get enough pressure on the button.
Quick call and a little haggle with the AA and they turned up and got him in for free, despite not having home start.

Don't ask, don't get I suppose.

Or always keep a window open when working on a car.

This.

Breaking a window for this is a oppsing stupid 'solution'

Some simple improvisation will have the car open in less time than you'll spend cleaning the broken glass let alone replacing it.

Or you could get some professional advice like the OP. Which is a radical solution on the internet.
