Press MAIN for 7s, then release. Then press NAV. If you dont get diags, breifly press MAIN again.

Its the first set of numbers - 3/5 means 3 sats in use, 5 visible.
Seems like I`ve got an intermittent connection. Got the GPS working ok this morning. Tried again this afternoon, no go. Got the diags. screen up, 2md & 3rd "pages" show no info, 1st page was showing 8 satellites visible, none in use :(

Update on the problem. Received a navdisc today from Lazydocker (cheers Paul, pm sent). Inserted it, voila 8) satnav now working perfect. A point to mention though, prior to using the "new" disc my GPS indicator stayed red whether the faulty disc was inserted or not but as soon as the replacement disc was inserted the HU downloaded the software from it and the GPS indicator went green. It appears that the faulty disc was in some way preventing the receiver from getting any satellite signals.

I presume the problem was something to do with it trying to acquire a 'lock' without being able to read the CD; the diag page you got to showed it could 'see' 8 satellites but was using '0' - presumably because it could see satellites known to be over the western hemisphere (say) but thought you were elsewhere, and got confused?

I wish mine were that easy to fix.. ;D
