Sergeant at arms

I see it was the sergeant at arms that shot dead the gunman in the Canadian parliament. What would ours do? Poke him with his pike?

It would take our Sergeant at Arms half an hour to put his tights on and get his wig straight and then he would have to send out a carrier pigeon for Black Rod!  ::)  ;D

At least the Canadian Sgt at arms lived up to his title.

And was suitably trained to take an on the spot descision.

And was supplied with the required tools.

And, most importantly, provided with the support when it was needed.

Shame it's needed in the first place.....

If you want to see if you would be poked or shot,go running into the houses of parliament, shooting a gun,and see what happens. :o
