I,ve had my Desmond for over 4 years and had no problems with the alarm. Over the last few days the alarm goes of around 11pm. The neighbours must love me. ;D. It doesn,t do it every night either. I,ve only ever locked it by pressing the fob once so would pressing it twice help?
I,ve Please read the manual :D and don,t find it very clear for my poor old addled brain. Any ideas anyone?

Do you still have the power sounder connected up ? Maybee try it with it disconnected as a first test . Then for quietness maybee unplug the alarm horn next to it so as at least not disturb the neighbours.have you checked the bonnet switch for good connection and operation? .also what happens if you set alarm with internal sensors disabled ?

Sounder disconnected soon after i got it :y, Disabled the motion/tilt part two nights ago. :y Still went off last night :(

I would unplug alarm horn then ( for quietness sake ! ) temporarily .lights will still flash . Then check bonnet switch. I doubt it would be a problem on an omega but worth making sure boot light is going on and off properly and interior lights/ door switches etc. Or maybee confirm by pulling relevant fuse . Not sure if that will affect other things thou.not got my car here at mo to check in book. Maybee check door pillar switches for shorts or water imgress .they are a dual switch so a short may allow a small current through ? . .?

Trouble is that it doesn,t do it all the time but will check a few things tomorrow as the daylight has gone. Thanks for info so far mate :y

No doubt someone else will come along with some suggestions to try but bonnet switch and door switches are a good place to start. My brothers car had a problem with water in a door switch making it go green and intermittent operation

Have checked boot light operation and it goes out when it shuts, all interior and puddle lights work ok. Have double locked it for tonight, (keys at the ready :D). Will see, or hear, how it goes. :-\

Bonnet switch?

The one on the braket by the power steering res. Is this not linked to alarm operation ?

Having no electrickery nous how can i test the bonnet switch please?

Unplug it and see what happens... or hopefully doesn't.

Busy day tomorrow so will try it asap and report back. Thanks to you guys so far. :y. If it goes off tonight will leave the bugger
unlocked ;D. Luckily we are a low crime area. I,ve left it unlocked loads of times and it,s still here. Left the keys in the front door a couple of times too.

You could a always lock it from the rear passenger door while you work out what is wrong, at least that way you won't annoy the neighbours.

If no power sounder, unplug bonnet switch to prove.
If that cures issue, either leave like that, or tweak the bracket so the switch works properly.

Was fine last night,(well,i didn,t hear it anyway :D). Will see how it goes. I tweaked the bonnet switch bracket TB. Time will tell :-\. Thanks for all the help. :y

Sodding alarm!
Had this happen for the first time, all windows closed etc and bam 8am alarm goes off out of thin air.
