Perhaps... Aside from my HGV medical, I have one every three years for my Airside Driving Permit, which includes colour blindness... If you're colour blind, you cannot drive airside.

Why?
Because* confusing orange, red and green could, at best, cause an incident, or at worst, lead to millions of pounds worth of damage and/or deaths. The whole environment is largely controlled by those three colours, whether as road/taxiway markings or lights, and it would be all too easy to misconstrue a situation, with potentially catastrophic consequences.

*I know you should never start a sentence with 'because', but I did. So there :P

Told a customer many years ago that I was colour blind
She wasn't very impressed due to me been half way through rewiring her house at the time  ::)
When I told her everything was just different shades of grey to me she was even less impressed  ::)

God, I can be a evil bastid at times .............  :-X ;D

I was in a windup mode  ::)
I did her friends house the month before and had her believing that I was a plumber by trade and just did electrics on the side  ::)
And this was half way into the job  ;D
How the hell I never got slapped by a customer i'll never know  :D
