Time and Date Wrong
« on: 16 August 2019, 13:01:40 »

Hiya! as posted on GH I have been over there for a while. My time and date does not update and shows 31-12-1999 and shows wrong time. I have adjusted it on settings and the auto update is clicked but reverts back to the same time when I restart. Any idea guys? TIA

If it's got the stock radio, tune it in to one of the national BBC stations for a while.

Yup, a lot of the independents and even BBC local stations don't broadcast time often enough.

Flick it to Radio 2 and drive around for a bit.

I take it the permanent live is working? Can you turn the radio on without turning on the ignition?

Good point, what radio does the OP have?

On NCDC radios, the setting is under the tuner menu.

Also, RDS has to be enabled.

Hiya!

Thats weird! I have just been out and checked all your suggestions and now the time is correct but the date is now 02-01-2000!
RDS enabled and it is an NCDC 2013 and radio works without ignition on. :-\

Yes, do your date has correctly moved on by the two days that have elapsed since your first post.

As others have said, tuning in to Radio 2 normally makes all go to the correct time, but date is something else.  I would see if you can manually adjust just that which, from memory, you can do under settings. Sorry I cannot be more helpful! ::) ::) ;)

PS  I have now found the PDF version of the manual, and in particular Page 38 that describes how to reset time and datr:

http://images.omegaowners.com/documents/UserGuides/OmegaOct2002.pdf

Please note that if manually setting the radio must be turned off.

If that does not do it, then as others have said something else is wrong. :(

Hi guys!

Thanks everybody for their inputs. :y
Don't know if I can stand listening to bongo bongo radio 1 so I will just use my watch.
Maybe it will sort itself out in time. Not that important!!

Cheers. :y :y :y :y
