KU31's are listed on WIM's site, good price to £96 a corner. Heard they are noisy though?  :-/

Listed perhaps.. but not available  :(  they can get 38's

I've just had a pair of Toyo's T1 Sports fitted, not done enough mileage yet (only done 300) to really comment as the sdressing will still be present, but nothing abnormal noted yet, ride and noise levels ok ... not pushed them at all however.

Toyo's were £98 + VAT a corner

Yeah saw those too, got Toyo Proxies on the back of the 3.0 Estate, they grip well. Apparently   ::)  :-X  ;D

I'm experimenting with Neuton NT5000 (only available from Neo Bros direct or eBay) on the rear and am quite impressed so far (for a cheapish tyre)

How much delivered? Much road noise?

Look on eBay ;) I stopped into Neo on the way past and got them fitted ;) Noise seems acceptable to me and grip is seeming good so far, but I need to get them on the front for a better test ;)

Neo use them on their track car :-? And they are M + S Rated too :-/

Here's my experience from a few Omegas with different tyres:
Nokian NRVi: domestic brand, should be "the best",did not last 15000 km. Good grip, also on wet, not too much noise. Very expensive, difficult to get on balance.

Hankook K105: lasted more than 25000km, quite cheap, very good grip, not too much noise

GT Radial Champiro 328: chinese, very cheap, have not noticed any difference in grip or driveability to the more expensive ones. Have sofar lasted 15000 km and seem to have enough surface for another.

At your current mileage I wouldn't buy an expensive premium brand long-lasting tyre. By the time it's worn it will have cracked up due to exposure to the sun or the tread will have hardened to the point that you have expensive ditchfinders that you won't be able to wear down no matter how hard you try. ;)

Something like the KU31 would be a good bet, as has been said, or the Toyos if you can't get them. Reasonably priced and also fairly soft so they won't hang around forever.

At your current mileage the last thing you need to worry about is wear rate and you won't get value for money from anything over £100 a corner, IMHO.

Search for "Neuton 235 45 17" (amend size as appropriate ;)). IIRC they're £60.22 each with very reasonable postage, then get them fitted at the place of your choice.

I haven't really had a chance to get a decent test of them yet (plus they're on the rear) but so far seem good... Generally very good and not as eager to break traction as the Accellera's I was running on the saloon :y (which I accepted as the best compromise for my requirements at the time ;))

I tempted to get those, rang around locally, most part considerably more than WIM, but could get Nexens N6000 for £90 a corner fitted. Anyone had them before? Recall them being on an Estate project but that was not really a fair test...

Gave them more of a test last night. Very enthusiastic drive through the twisties and held well, even pulling out of a cuople of junctions with adverse camber they held, which other tyres I've had won't do :y
