Back to the Future rocks...what is the DeLoran like to drive?
They've very nice to look at.
A 3.0 / 3.2 Omega would leave one standing in a big way. I noticed the speedo in that one was only calibrated up to 85 MPH.
Still, we all know what grief you get into at 88 MPH.
Well it was powered by a Renault (later Volvo) V6.... possibly the worst V6 ever made.......
Yuck! PRV V6. Seconded. About the worst engine you could put in a sports car. Horribly asthmatic and hates to rev. About 160 BHP from 2.8 litres and all over by about 5K RPM. The engine worked great in Volvo estates.
I think they lost even more power when they put cats on it. The engine does apparently respond to forced induction reasonably well, and a few twin turbo ones were built IIRC.
But Lotus was involved with the chassis
.. and the financial irregularities!
