That's my opel omega MV6
It's got so far 230HP and:
- bixenon lights
- limited slip diferential
- resonator box
- bigger airfilter box
- lightened flywheel
- manual gearbox
- LPG sequential injection
- NIVO
- uprated front and rear brakes

Very nice but you can't just drop a list like that with no details. I've heard of Xenons but Bixenons? Is that the resonator on the intake or are you refering to the muffler? What car did the larger Airbox come from? Looks stock to me. How's the performance on LPG? NIVO? And what did you do to the brakes? Come on...............GIVE.

OK mate.

I've changed projectors in headlamps. In stead of oryginal xenon projectors i've put bixenon ones from audi. These projectors use solenoids to change the position of a metal shield, so that in one position it acts as a cutoff to prevent light from blinding oncoming drivers, and in the other position this restriction is removed for full brightness.

On the intake there is a resonator. It's a alloy copy of mantzel resonator. The airfilter box comes from omega X25DT (2,5TD). It has round exit, which maches perfect to pipe that goes to airflowmeter. All the intake system is isolated against temperature with special mates.
NIVO is car level control.

The performance on LPG is OK. The car goes just like on petrol. You can hardly taste the difrence. It is OMVL DREAM system.
The front brakes are EBC driled&grooved discs and EBC green stuff pads. Rear brakes are ventilated, drilled discs and EBC green stuff pads. 8-)
The suspension has been lowered with sport springs.

Thanks for the info. I really envy you guys. In the States we have much fewer options. I would kill for a 5-speed but murder won't pay for the cost of purchase, shipping, and conversion. I'd love to hear more about the BiXenon lights. Can you give us details? We have a number of large critters roaming our roads at night and the sooner we can see them the better. I was considering converting the foglights to HID Xenon but this gives me another option.

I love the look of the psuedo Mantzel box but will stick with the dual ram setup for now. My brakes are another story. I have swapped the stock front brakes for calipers from our GTO version of your Monaro. It's a simple bolt-on swap. If you're interested ask for 2004 front calipers, and the mounting brackets, on the LS1GTO Forum and I'm sure you'll find a seller. Many of them are upgrading to Corvette brakes. I added slotted and dimpled discs along with the GTO calipers and let me tell you, they stop the car as if I threw down an anchor. My car came with the Sport suspension but I will be adding lowering springs when it comes the time to replace the struts and shocks.

I like that with all your mods the car maintains a low profile, stealthy apperance. Too often cars with wild wings and fancy paint don't have the performance to back up the looks. I prefer your approach. Like our late great President (not the idiot we have now), Teddy Roosevelt once said, "speak softly and carry a big stick".

Thats a foto of bixenon projectors. The only difrence is that the metal shield betwen the lens and the mirror is able to open for high beam. This is because the selenoid which works when you swich the high bean on.

Unfitted is about 300pounds for 4-cyl engine and 400 for 6-cyl. Thats a price without gas tank.
Gas tank is about 70-100.
Fully fitted in car is about 500 for 4-cyl and about 580 for 6-zyl.
They gives you 24month warranty.
Not to bad?? isn't it??

Yes it is. But 70% of that is on German motorway, without speed limit 8-)

How long doe it take to fit an LPG kit to V6, I have family in Germany near Hannover so could combine the two.

It's about one day i belive. But you would have to make an appointment first. I live in Koszalin, thats about 120miles from German border, but you can come to Szczecin, its right after border. Thats 440km from Hannover.

Around half UK price - a local chap was right then when he said that new prices in Poland were cheaper than repaired kit in the UK.

I wonder how much to ship a kit to the UK?

My main concern would be that it won't be perfect straight away, probably requiring some adjustment after a week or so, which is a problem when it's 800 miles away!

PS The car is looking very nice, and I love the idea of bi-xenons!

Yes. there might be some adjustment to do after time. But meyby there is a garage in Britain, that will do that for you??

I already have a dual-fuel Omega, so it's not an issue for me at the moment. Mine was done in the UK before I bought it, at a cost of around £1800 I think -- I have the receipt somewhere

There are certainly plenty of places who will adjust the system for you, but at similarly extortionate UK prices. I think most of them will charge around £70 as soon as they connect it to a diagnostic computer! If you only have to go once and have a few settings changed, then it's no problem. But any more than that, and it will cancel out the savings made by travelling to Poland.

You probably right. I bought a special cable for my type of LPG ECU. I also have a program for this instalation, so i can use my laptop and adjust whatever i want

Thats very usefull if you know how to do it...

I would quite like something like that for mine... I used to have a logger on my Impreza WRX STi to monitor injector duty cycles, ignition timing etc... Would be interesting to see what all the LPG system is doing. I sometimes get a stall when dipping the clutch to come to a halt after a high speed run (usual place is at a roundabout coming off the motorway) which I'm convinced is due to the fuel cut on overrun being too over-zealous due to being on a closed throttle while slowing. If the Omega's pedal layout wasn't so poor I'd be blipping the gas on downshifts, but I physically can't heel-toe in this car

. I'm sure a quick adjustment on the gas ECU would sort it. In the meantime I have modified my driving style to dip the clutch a little earlier, and if it does try to stall I just lift the clutch again while the car still has momentum to lift the revs back up -- after that it sits perfectly idle at 600 RPM.

Where did you get the cable and how much did you pay? I can probably get the software easily enough (according to some online groups it's freely available although I haven't actually checked), and the cable can be bought for around £70-80, but it's quite extortionate for what it is.

It's a Tartarini ETAgas so looks like Kabel 6 on that list. £8 is very cheap... over here there are a few companies selling a kit with various leads for about £70, which is fine if you have an LPG business, but I'll only use one lead! Can you get an AEB Leonardo lead too? What about software?

A bit of update

Just exchanged this:

it's not finished yet, but swap is done. The C30SE engine was completely rebuild.
Piston squirts were added and oil pump was enlarged. it's got motronic M2.8.1 from X30XE. Runs well.

Something in the back of my mind is saying that Irmscher were offering a 4.0 conversion for the Omega when it was launched, which I took at the time to be this engine chucked in with the mother of all over-bores as 3.6, 3.9 and 4.0 have long been available.

ps, was it an easy conversion?

No idea for the Omega B but they did for the Omega A/Vauxhall Carlton & Senator in Germany ..... clicky
