Caravan out of storage
« on: 22 March 2010, 22:41:19 »

Decided to go and collect caravan at weekend and get it ready for the up and coming Easter Break.

This is the first-time I have towed my caravan with the Omega (Normally I tow it with a 300tdi Landy Disco)

I have to admit the 2.2dti Omega pulled it with ease and I now have to keep an eye on the speedo, due to when it was on the Landy I would struggle to get it up to 60mph and keep it there, now with the Miggy I am struggling to keep it on 60mph without going TOO fast, lol  ;D

What an excellent tow car, and was also amazzed that when on the flat of the M54 doing 60mpg the trip computer was showing 39MPG  8-)

Here they are hitched together.

Are you sure than trip comp was showing 39, or more like 09mpg?

Edit  :-[ just noticed it's a DTi so yes very good, I get around 26-28mpg on a longish M/way run, with the van on :-[
;D ;D ;D ;D

This was as we were heading back the other year after my rad decided to spring a leak down in Devon/Cornwall (I can never remember which  ::)) hence the bonnet up.  ;)

I'll have to get a photo of them both together now that I have the facelift wheels on my car.

I wasn't actually broken down in that photo, it just wasn't well  ;)  ;)  ;) :y
